Training
For the first 9 months of our program, Tech Scholars will work closely with a team of experienced software developers and program alumni to learn core programming concepts, languages (HTML, Javascript, CSS), programming tools, and common development process.

Exposure
When it comes to diversifying the tech workforce, exposure to careers and professionals in the industry play a vital role in motivating young people to pursue technology education and jobs. Our Tech Scholars will learn about various pathways to careers in computer science and be exposed to the tech industry by applying the Seneca training while gaining real-world work experience through internships with a Seneca Partner Company.

Coaching
Access to role models and mentors can both inspire and guide young people along the educational and workforce paths to tech careers. All Tech Scholars receive college and career coaching through mentors, personal tech tutors and post-secondary planning.

Our Tech Scholars participate in robust programming throughout the year that emphasizes college preparation, career readiness and social-emotional intelligence to promote success along the pipeline to tech careers.

The Seneca software development training program offers nine months of paid software training and college/career success coaching followed by a five-month paid internship. You don’t have to wait to finish your college degree to begin your career in tech.
